I have heard my mother & father talk about the Blankenships all my life. These particular Blankenships lived in Maries County at Myerstown and still do. This is close to the Miller County line and these Blankenships are well known among the older people. Every year I look forward to seeing a sweet older lady that comes to the Campground Homecoming every year. She was a Blankenship and I think she was married to a Atwell. I am not going to give her name, but most Blankenships will know who she is. She is in a wheelchair now and her daughter brings her every year. Two very classy people. I am going to include this Blankenship family, because there are still a lot of people in both counties who still remember them.
