BOND FAMILY:



It seems to me like the older Bonds, started in North Carolina. Then moved into Tennessee and Kentucky. Most seem to like Kentucky best but a couple stayed in Tennessee for a while and then they all migrated to Miller County. Judging from the names they gave their children, whether they were from Tennessee or Kentucky leads me to believe they were all related. Joels, Charitys etc. Which ever, Miller County was better off for it.

Don't pay a lot of attention to the 1870 census. It was the first after the Civil War and it is inaccurate.

For the sake of accuracy, would like to add a VERY LITTLE extra information.


Per the marriage of John W. Bond m. Polly Henry: I'm open-minded but have never seen the name HENRY connected to my family except that's my husband's first name. John and Polly's oldest child (of his family with his second wife) and his first son b. in MO was Berry C. Bond b. 1838, next was my gggrandfather b. 1840 per his tombstone and my Uncle Herschel Bond in Eldon, MO. No one has ever mentioned a third marriage in 1842 or a W. middle initial but am open to suggestion. ????? (Note: Andrew J. Bond has a 3rd marriage NO ONE talks about)

Rosella is my grandmother's aunt and that is the correct spelling. If this is the same James Bond who is Lewis G. Bond's son, he's my grandmother's uncle and my grandfather's cousin as well.


Andrew J. Bond m. Margaret Susan Carney 10/18/1888. I didn't know of her by any name except Susan until I started searching out my family heritage. Note: He also m. Ida Eliza Berry 31Mar1895 after Susan died. The J. J. Bond who m. Nora Pitchford 29Nov1894 is Andrew J.'s brother Jasper.
