GROVES FAMILY:

The Groves jumped between Miller & Maries Counties and made following them a little difficult. I believe they are all related as they all stayed in the same Township. I believe they came from England and were in Miller County as early as the1850s. There were poor census records kept on these people for long periods of time. My mother and dad lived on what we called the "Isaac Groves Place". They lost three sons in infancy when they were first married, and one was here on this place. The house has been kept up and I believe people are still living there. My older brother used to take me by there every once in a while.
