Here is a family that has been a pioneer for Miller County. There were two families here in 1840, and obviously brothers, though the census taker spell their names a little different. That was corrected in later census. Peter was family No.9 and Thomas was family No. 14. They had been here a while.
Peter was here with his wife and daughter. Peter was in his late 20s. His wife in her teens and their little girl was 0 to 5 yrs. old. (1840 census)
