She had four girls and four boys, she was raising. This was no easy job now, much harder for a woman then. I'll bet Janes's husband was named William. Almost every one of her children had a child named William. In 1850 census: (A few had left the nest) Jane C. Stephens age 55 (Va) Cordelia age 16 (Missouri) married Isaac Hinds, 1/29/1852. Mary age 13 (Mo) Living close by were the following Stephens families. I believe Jane came to Missouri by way of Tennessee. It was information given to her by Algura Beggs Hedgpeth of Fort Worth Texas. I am only going to give the statistics that will help decipher this look-up. Most of the Stephens descendants in Miller county today are from: William Stephens born circa 1785, Shenandoah Co. Virginia. William married Jane Cordelia Mullens/Mullins, on April 14, 1814, in Wayne Co. Kentucky. She was the daughter of Isaac & Mary Mullens and was born in Virginia circa1795 William died at 50 years of age, on 2/28/1837. Jane Cordelia died about 1859. Both are believed buried in the Old Mt.
